Cradle Mountain Tasmania Weather
Cradle Mountain weather is known for its unpredictability. You can expect all four seasons at any time of the year, so even in summer it is a good idea to bring clothes that you can layer on, a spare pair of walking shoes, a warm jumper and a wind/rainproof jacket.
The warmest months are January and February and the coldest Months are July and August.
The warmest temperature is 30 degrees and the coldest overnight is minus 10 degrees.
Snow can fall at any time of the year but usually in July, August and September where a good fall is between 200mm and 300mm.

TROWUNNA WILDLIFE PARK
Trowunna Wildlife Park is a family wildlife park at Mole Creek not far from Cradle Mountain. Trowunna was established in 1979 and covers 65 acres of serene sanctuary for Tasmania's native wildlife. Unchanged in 25 years, Trowunna Wildlife Park gives you the opportunity to experience the magic of nature's wonderland.
At Trowunna you can see more than 35 species of birds and animals, You can get up close and hand-feed the free-ranging kangaroos and wallabies. Or you can take an interactive guided tour and see Tasmanian devils being hand-fed.
Trowunna Wildlife Park is open daily 0900 to 1700. Daily interactive tours are conducted at 1100, 1300 and 1500. Learn about the successful conservation breeding programs that have been conducted at Trowunna since 1985 with native wildlife such as tasmanian devils, wombats and quolls.
Group bookings and private tours are welcome and Devil and/or Wombat full day workshops are available

ANVERS CHOCOLATES
The House of Anvers contains a real chocolate taste sensation. It is located at Latrobe, Tasmania, in the property formally known as "Wyndarra Lodge", a stylish Californian bungalow house which was built in 1931. Set in 2.2 hectares of old tree gardens, the property features trees from around the world.
When you visit the House of Anvers you can see our qualified confectionery staff tempering, moulding and enrobing fine couverture chocolates, truffles, pralines, fudges and more.
Entry is Free, self guided tours are available at no charge. Organised tour can be arranged by appointment for a minimum of 10 people, Monday to Friday, charges apply.

CHUDLEIGH HONEY FARM
It is known simply as The Honey Farm, and occupies a small shop on the main street of Chudleigh. This is a tiny village half way between Deloraine and Mole Creek, in what I think is one of the the most attractive rural areas in Tasmania.
On entering the place, you're confronted with a dazzling range of honeys and honey-related products, not to mention an alluring ice cream counter competing for attention. Probably the best place to start is with the tastings; for me they were the main attraction.

YARNS (Artwork In Silk)
This large-scale textile treasure has been created in four panels, each measuring three-and-a-half metres by four metres. Crafted by more than 300 local artists, it took 10,000 hours and 200 metres of hand-dyed silk to complete. The artists have employed a number of techniques including embroidery, cross stitch, weaving, patchwork and quilting to create Yarns. Yarns Artwork in Silk tells the story of the local area - exploring its history, landscape and culture. The display includes an audiovisual presentation which expands on the work.
Deloraine and the surrounding district is one of Tasmania's most significant regional centres for art and crafts. Visit today and be amazed and inspired!

ASHGROVE CHEESE
Come in and try our creamy farm ice-cream, fresh bottled milk, cheese, cream and butter. Stock up on provisions, including gourmet Tasmanian produce, cheese platters, grilled cheese sandwiches and locally roasted coffee made with our award winning farm milk. Sneak a peek through the viewing window, where you will get a behind the scenes look at how we make our cheese using traditional techniques with modern methods. We are open every day except Xmas day from 7.30am to 5.30pm, 25 minutes east of Devonport and 40 minutes west of Launceston with easy access and parking. Coach tours are welcome and you can book in for a presentation.

BRICKENDON HISTORIC HOMESTEAD
Brickendon Historic Farm and Convict Village is located just outside Longford, in northern Tasmania. Built by William Archer in 1824, the village is still owned by his descendents.
You have a rare chance to see the convict-built Gothic chapel, Dutch barns, chicken house, blacksmith shop and tool shed. There is a four hectare (10 acre) historic garden for you to explore. Close to the Georgian homestead there are garden beds featuring soft plantings of roses and perennials to complement the house's historic fa?ade. Walk along the paths to outlying features including the orchard and original shrubberies. You can experience the 'garden rooms', each with their own mood and ambience.

ELEMENTAL ARTSPACE
Elemental Art Space is a co-operative gallery for all working craftspeople and artists. It currently exhibits and retails works by over 80 artisans.
Call in today and be amazed by the myriad of art work on display. From quilts, woodwork and jewellery to furniture and gift cards.
There is also a fabric shop where you can buy quilting squares, threads and notions.

DELORAINE TRAIN PARK
This playground is set on West Parade. There is a fenced play area for younger kids with spring rider, fort, slide, short tunnel, fireman's pole and ladder, also there is another unfenced area for the bigger children with a climbing set with climbing wall and various climbing frames, and you can find swings. There are some seats, and some grassy space, good for kick the ball. Next to the play area is a fenced old locomotive interesting to look at. For a few meters away flows the Meander River. Car parking is right by the playground.

Sheffield's first mural was unveiled in December 1986. Since then over sixty murals depicting the area's rich history and beautiful scenery have been painted on walls scattered throughout the district. In 2003, Sheffield hosted its first Mural Fest art competition which is now held annually, with the nine murals remaining on display at Mural Park for just on twelve months.

CATARACT GORGE
Cataract Gorge Reserve, or ""The Gorge"" as the locals call it, is a unique natural formation within a two-minute drive of central Launceston - a rare natural phenomenon in any city.
In 15 minutes you can walk from the city centre along the banks of the Tamar River into "The Gorge".
From here you follow a pathway along the cliff face, originally built in the 1890s, looking down onto the South Esk River. The Kings Bridge over "The Gorge" was floated into place in 1867.
